Opinions on this hood on my car...

Post by supertrick_05 » Thu Mar 01, 2007 2:07 pm

I'm just trying to get opinions on this hood on my car...I wish I had the exact same angle of my car that the guy with the hood had, so it's not 100 percent accurate, but it gives you an idea. I also forgot to black out the upper chrome grilles...I think that would have made it look a little better as well. Anyways, let me know what ya think. Thanks!

Nope. 100% Nope Brodie.

Stick with Matte Black the stock one, or keep your AAR hood man!

Hmm, can't say i'm diggin it. If you're really set on a hood that's different, get a stock 2gn hood cheap, and a stock 1gen DOHC hood for cheap, and try and make a 2gn DOHC 'bubble' style hood. :D

I wish I could get it at a better angle...I've seen this hood on a yellow 2004 R/T in person and it looked really good...I wonder why it doesn't look right in the photochop?

*EDIT* I did a photochop with the stock hood...just flat black...and I blacked out the wheels and top/bottom grilles. I don't know why, but I really like it!

I can try to take a pic of mine at the same angle of any of your pics if you like, that way you could see how it would look on it after chopping it.

I say leave your car the way it is. I absolutely love your neon. It's quite possibly one of the NICEST 03+ neons on here. Definitely one of my faves.

Thanks guys...I just really want to do a carbon fiber hood/trunk instead of flat black. Like a lot of people said...the flat black is going to look like I want carbon fiber but can't afford it...

Just do OEM carbon. At most a SRT carbon.

Get either an OEM or OEM SRT CF hood and a cf trunk, black out your wheels, and it's perfect. :thumbright:

I like that one. I say paint it MATTE black.

Not flat, but more of a semi-gloss. I will dig up a pic of what I am thinking of....

You could get a stock carbon hood and paint the edges so it blends into your paint job...

Yeah, it'd either be that color on my stock hood or the carbon one...I'd like to put a flat clear over the carbon fiber...I think that would look really cool!
