DOHC Neon running COPs?
DOHC Neon running COPs?
IDK where or who this is but this is a first ive seen for a Neon. Looks to be out of a Mitsubishi motor.Awesome idea and I wonder if its any better on waste spark.

IIRC that setup was wired as a wasted spark system. The only real benefit of COP comes from being able to individually fire each plug. Some say there's a gain by removing the wires, but the stock neon wires are so short to begin with I don't see a big gain if any from that. You won't really see any benefit of no wires until you start running much larger voltages which you can't do with the wasted spark wiring due to the shorter coil charge time.

coils
Those look like Chrysler/Dodge 2.7L V6 coils. With a stock neon PCM they would have to be wired in parallel for waste spark operation. I have a feeling that the added current flow surge on the coil driver circuits might eventually damage the PCM, even though the PCM has adaptive dwell and limits current flow to approximately 8 amps.
