OBX header went on yesterday, cat came off and replaced with supplied downpipe. 80 miles later (just pulling into work) the CEL came on. Is this simply because the o2 sensor is reading incorrect?

Probably, check the CEL Code and that'll tell you what it's reading.

Put key in, turn ignition to ON, then OFF-ON-OFF-ON and watch for the code that displays on the odometer. Then take that code or codes and look them up here..

it gives me 73......and i don't find that anywhere.

WTF does 73 mean? 7 flashs, pause, 3. did it twice thinking i counted wrong.

even on neons .org's faq it doesn't go up to 73.

703 is something with the break switch sensor.

I guess i recognized it when i parked at work....so could my ebrake have tripped this? Seems kinda ironic that after i install a header i'd get a code like this 80 miles later.

The code will show up in your odometer. It will show a code like P 0304, which that means miss fire in cyl. #4. You code will be different, but it will be like that.

got it, haha. can't beleive i didn't see the code on the odometer. Can't tell im a 1g junkie can ya :lol:
