dont know why but when im normally driving i never go over 3k rpm...no matter what!!...even if im turning onto a street and theres a semi truck haulin ass up on me, i never go over.... unless i wanna be fast then its redline every gear....theres no in betweenJ-Villa wrote:wouldn't mind an auto with the auto stick, that's just me personally
i love my stick, but with my bad knees from bmxing, clutching in traffic ftl. plus when i have a stick car i tend to wanna rev EVERY SINGLE GEAR OUT haha

autosticks are ok. but they dont respond like they should. if they shifted right when you shifted it would be better, but playing around on my fiances moms jeep it doesnt seem to want to do that.

I've always wondered if you did the "torque management mod" with an AutoStick car what it would shift like. Might be fun. Might also be kinda bad for your trans.
Oh yeah, fuck Dodge for finally making another car I'd buy... and then not offering it with a manual (in the US). I swear, I bet you, in a few years, I'll end up picking up a mint 2nd gen Stratus with a 2.4, putting a Neon manual trans in it, and driving it until I'm retired.

Both generations of the Stratus were available with a stick. You could get a Plymouth Breeze with the 2.0/5-speed combo. I know, not a Stratus, but it basically is. The 2nd gen Stratus was available in R/T trim with the 2.7L V6 and a 5-speed. Probably a very cool car to drive, but I'll take the 2.4 turbo over the 2.7L any day.
