Post by neon_ert3 » Wed Mar 07, 2007 5:17 pm

ive seen alot of complaints about how airbags ride rough and stuff like that. but i actally love my air ride. i dont have my guages hooked up yet but i ride w/ the back tire tuckin and the front w/ 1/2in wheel gap. it feels awesome. but it sucks ass when its all the way up lol. just wanted to know how others felt about there air ride ride.

man im sitting on dubs and I love the ride, if I keep everything at 35psi she rides like a Lincoln and if I stiff it at 100psi she hugs the road like my beamer did, and to protect from tearing up my kit I raise her to 120 and that gets my bumper to stock level.

My only down side is you must keep a rebuild kit with you, meaning you should have hoses and fittings and pluming tape on stand by.

Ohh and a valve stem added to a line just incase you have a pump failure.

We actually did that to my buddies awhile back. We replaced one of his pressure switches with a high pressure valve. We also added a quick connect and he can now take off his wheels with his air tank. His is an old pic.

i carry a little bag with an adjustable wrench, teflon tape, fittings, 1/2 inch pipe incase i need to cut some hose off, some clamps.... i think thats it.

but all in all, i love my airride... yeah its super dupper ubber stiff all the way inflated, but i just fill the bags all the way when i'm clowning. i love dropping the ass and raising the front when comming to a stop... or do a little side to side when coasting. DAMN!!! i'm getting all excited now

For all yee 'ol air ride guru's.
The only thing I'm not aquiring in my transaction is the air compressor. (damn you sam)
Any suggestions on a compressor to buy?
It's only a 5gal tank as well. (which eventually will be upgraded)

^ air zenith are suppose to be top of the line. i like the fact that you can basically rebuild them now with their new kits. fill times are pretty good to, but your looking at like 300 dollars a pop

The 380's are nicer. I was sponsored by Viair and the 380 was given to me because they handle up to 200 PSI without voiding the warrenty. 2 filled my 12 gallon quick as hell. My 450's were junk. I went through 3 leader hoses on them,.
O and Opi if you ever want a 12 gallon tank I have one if you wanna pick it up. It is custom painted.

thats the new compressor ill be buyin in the next couple of next months. i think ima get 2 of them to pump 10 gallons. its suposed to keep up w/ air zenith all the way up to 170psi. i guess air zenith stayed stronger to 170 idk. but im only gonna run 175psi max.

I have the Viar 380, and its fine for everyday use, just dont expect to do a lot of stunting with it. If you just want the air ride for practicality, and the odd bouncey bounce here and there, then the 380 and a five gallon tank is all you need. And it still leaves lots of room to spare in your trunk.
