If you go to the dealer, I am sure they will charge you a good amount to have the proper amount of paint to get it nicely done. I suggest going to an automotive paint store in your area (break out the yellow pages if you have too), and have them paint match your cars paint (take them the gas lid, and provide them with your paint code). I bet that for the same price as the dealer, you can get the paint matched (even better since your car is a 2000), and more of it to get some good coats on it.
In my area, there is a paint store that will paint match it, and put the paint into an aeresol can for you for abot $10-12$/can. Pretty good in my opinion to paint match parts and fix any problems.
It's been about a month, do you have an update on it? It looks pretty clean nontheless.
