Air Ventilation Recall?

I was talking to my boyfriend's sister last night about her neon (04 sxt) and she said that her boyfriend had told her there is a recall out for her year car for something w/ the air ventilation system. She said that it smells really bad from the vents all the time and shes taking it in to the dealership to see if they will warranty it.

I dont know if this is a true recall, i dont know where he got his info because he has a mazda protege, but It maybe worth finding out for some of you guys.

Maybe BRR Will chime in?

i remember reading about that recall a while back .. but its been to long to remember what year it was for

24-006-06 there is recall from 01 for it...

and it applies to the 04 as well ... i think i remember it being something about condensation not draining properly and letting mold build up

actually its not just a dodge thing..

my mom had a pt crusier and hers did it all the time..she had to constantly take it to the dealership and have the EVAP System cleaned out cause the water laid in this one part of it.. and it would make the car smell like a sewage dump

its a chrysler thing that they will NEVER fix so it seems..

best bet is to hang a really strong air freshner in the car..

i have a weird smell in my car (maybe its me)...its a 04...maybe i should take it in. or buy a new squash air freshner

Mine smells fine... just like usual. *laughs*
