RIP Christian Starr

Post by titansxt » Sun Mar 11, 2007 10:47 pm

http://www.dailyherald.com/news/dupages ... c=d&tc=&t=
A very good friend of mine passed away the other day and I was just looking for "sad songs". Does any one know of any type of song that talks about missing a friend or a brother, or family member? Odd question but I am just wondering.

Sorry about that man.

As far as lyrical..
Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism
Thursday - War All The Time
The Saddest Landscape - The Temptation That Is You

That's about it.. most of my music is instrumental, on that note I have some utterly depressing instrumental music if you'd like, it'll make you feel mad good though, it's unlike anything you've ever heard before.

Leave it to Gramps to suggest an oldie but goodie... "Photograph" by Ringo Starr. It wasn't until I saw Ringo introduce the song in the "Concert for George (Harrison)" film that I thought of the lyrics in this kind of light.

Went to the viewing and the funeral the past two days. He looked so peaceful and at rest but I cant help but think I should not be having "fun" right now..... Know what I mean? Its been very difficult. He got a full military funeral though, he deserved it too.

I can't help but morn, but I have talked about him and how proud I was just to know him and how lucky I was to have him as a good friend. He was twice the man I will ever be, no matter how old I live to be.
