Professionally weighed my car today.

Post by glasswars » Wed Mar 14, 2007 10:14 pm

Today me and my friend were bored so we used the $4000 scaling equipment he uses for the shifter karts his team makes on my car. I was pretty pleased with the results considering my heavy ass rimzzzzzzz.

On 3/4 tank of gas the car weighs:
Total Weight: 2730
Total Weight with me in it: 2880

Front Weight: 1730 (63.3%)
Rear Weight: 1001 (36.6%)
Right Weight: 1390 (50.8%)
Left Weight: 1350 (49.1%)

Front Right Weight: 879
Front Left Weight: 856
Rear Right Weight: 480
Rear Left Weight: 515

So yeah, good info to know I guess.

It's a fact that the longer the tube the more it hinders flow and any bend is more restrictive than a piece of straight tubing. Mandrel bends just happen to be the least restrictive of bends, though it's still more restrictive than a straight pipe. Finally, any system that flows anything will only flow as well as it's least restrictive part.

I think the door sticker says like 2650 lbs. on mine, I'd assume maybe that's from the factory before gas, oil, wiper fluid, brake fluid, steering fluid.....fluids? Just the weight of the mechanicals? Still cool to know so yes, get your suspension tuned and have some fun with your big ass!

Exactly, thanx! My lazy ass didn't feel like running downstairs to check, I guess 2730 isn't that far off then with fluids and all.
