U'r telling me... I am on the hunt for 6000k fog lights now... i was going to make them yellow... but with the blue/green of the HID's, the yellow of the fogs, and then the orange of the turn signals... thats just to many colors for my taste... so i am going to buy some fogs as soon as i find them

Actually the yellow fogs would look really good IMO. It would look like a Lexus at night. I'm actually changing my fog bulbs from blue/white to yellow. I love the way it looks like that.

Get some HID's then. You'll love them. I've had mine for a while now. I remember when DiabloO PMed me on the .org asking me about them when he was gonna get some. If you want some get them, you won't regret it.

HIDs make driving at night more safer and more fun. As well as getting slow drivers out of the fast lane.

Time to burst a bubble... Actually the HID's make it harder to drive at night... from experience i can tell you that since these lights are so bright... they create a "hot spot" effect on the road... everything else that is not with in that lite area seems to dim down a bit... i have noticed that i am missing cops that are pulled over on the side of the road until its too late... the lights are more for pure "bling" effect... yes, when the light hits something... its lights it up... and it is 100x more brighter, but that doesn't equate to safety... i wonder how its going to be in a snow storm... since light is going to reflect much more strong off of snow and rain for that matter of fact

No, they don't. You need to aim your lights higher. You have them set way too low. I see everything way further.

I can tell that if there is a moderate snow fall they aren't bad, but if it's coming down bad it's very hard to see. Also when driving in thick fog it's very dangerous b/c it does light up so much of the fog you can't see anything. Turning them off completely and just having parking lights on helps but makes it very hard for oncoming cars to see you then. I'm half tempted to wire my fog lights up seperately but haven't gotten around too it.

Yeah, I can see way more at night then I did with any regular headlight bulb. If they were only for the bling effect I wouldn't have bought them.

Kevin_GP, the racoon headlights with HID's looks awesome, that what I have. If I knew where my digital camera was and it wasn't so shitty I would take some pics for you.

Do you have 6000K's DiabloO? I got 9000K's and I took a picture onthem one time, but it was with a disposable camera, and it couldn't focus on the light right. They looked green in the picture I took, it was wierd.

You would need new ballasts.

You don't want to go over 7,000 Kalvin. Anything over that is worse then regular headlight bulbs.

You shouldn't need new ballasts, when I got my set the place I got them from has the option that if you want to swap out bulbs for a different color temp, all you have to do is exchange the bulbs or something and keep the ballasts.

And the reasoning behind why you don't want to go very high on the Kalvin rating is because the higher you go the farther you get out of the visable color spectrum.

Thats what i was hoping for... i'll have to verify with the manufactur... and yes the higher you go the less u'r eye can pick up... the 10,000k light if PHAT! its a purplish hue... i'm satisfied with what i have now.. but when these burn out (according to the maker, it shouldn't be for a long while) i'll see if i can just change the temp... OR if i get bored and in a spending mood i'll change then to another color
