so... i finally quit being lazy, and proceeded to spend my afternoon/evening working on teh white car. first off, i will start off with how she was when i started in on her today....

basically, her main issues keeping her from runnign were simple.
-no intake
-upper motor mount bolt/bracket stripped/cross threaded
-battery was toast

what i did today..
-installed stock intake off my 04
-borrowed a battery from a friend
-fixed motor mount
-picked up my new(to me) set of 1g springs....

but trust me, she still has a LONG way to go....

on to the pics...

as you can see, the car is very cluttered and dirty inside. as well as the trunk needs a repair... the dumbass owner (me) got loaded and angry one night and kicked the trunk.. right where the bondo was from shaving the 3rd brake light.... oops.

so im gonna knock it out, sand/wire wheel the rest off the trunk and put a 3rd brake light in.

the lowering springs should be in tomorrow, and i hope to have some pics up.....

but the main accomplishment for the day...

SHE RUNS!

i also cut the HALF ASSED exhasut off shortly after the cat. ill get pics of that as well....

It's nice that she still runs. I wonder what bumper you're going to put on though. A white SRT-4 front?

there is a bumper mounted already. ill have pics tomorrow after i set her back down on her new 1st gen springs.

hey tink...you interested in selling the seats that are in the skunk...the lighter gray ones that are actually attached to the car?

chris, no, nothing ever got pulled, except a strut. i ended up ordering camber bolts for it instead.

jac, if i sold you the seats, it would just be the cushions, as i would need the brackets and stuff for the SXT cushions.... pm me if still interested.

on to the update for today.

yesterday, i put in the 1g springs.... backwards (fronts in rear and vice versa)

ran out of light after swapping the drivers side around, so bonestock came down today and him and i did the passenger side and then i helped him work on his car.

new work done....
-repaint of steelies, gloss black > rusted black
-1g springs done.
-interior installed (except for 2 missing pieces and no audio)
-washed
-brand new battery (foudn the reciept for the old one and took it back and got it warranted, $20 brand new battery FTMFW)

before and after of the wheels

now if i could just find my fuse box cover... and a 00 CD player.... and buy an airbag delete....

hopefully i can russle up some cheap used tires for the 2 15s with shot tires so i can rock the SXT wheels on it after the wifey's car is fixed, then i plan to get it shot with some primer..... flat black FTMFW! for now, she's just a spare driver. in teh future, maybe a hamster wheel, or do a DOHC 2.4 swap wiht a hamster wheel and SRTinternals.... or maybe jsut a 5 speed swap.... i dont know. my ideas chagne alot. but i do knwo that this will be the car that gets the motor mods and the blue car is staying the reliable, pretty car.

haha yeah. i guess. i get on my kicks. i get iobsessed with stuff adn hafta finish it....

shes got lots of little things left. lighting, siome wiring, some audio needs installed, and she needs exhaust. but otherwise, shes a working vehicle again....

i found my set of yellow fogs... should i install them, or leave them clear?

i had a pillar pod, those are the wires for all the gauges, in tiem i will go thru and pull them all.

im gonna go instal the fogs in a bit, and as for teh handles, i was thinking about rockign them in the SXT...

you and me both bud. you and me both.... i need to find some engine degreaser....... its pretty nasty under there....

goal for today, clean out the trunk, haul some of the parrts that are in the car to my parents house.... maybe clean up the engine bay. tried to mount my yellow fogs, but teh fog bulbs i have are for teh 02 fogs that are in the car, the bulbs are different from 00-02, so clear fogs are still installed. i gave the blue car some love today, got her a new cone filter and new breatehr, so the old breather could go oni the skunk. might have some pics up tonight, depending on what i get done

basically a short ram, stainless tube from intake mani to TB , then a cone filter onthe TB.

i never got pics, but i cleaned out the trunk and backseat ofthe car today, next is the papers and such on the floor in teh front seat. im gonna haul the SXT seat cushions and some other random parts i have at my place over to my parents hosue tomorrow, so hopefully ill have some pics of her all cleaned out. hopefully ill find soem engine degreaser too, might take off the ugly ass blue VC and replace it with the stocker from teh 04....

i figured out what is needed to make her basically a sound and street legal car...

necessities for legailty:
-new tabs/registration (and prolly plates since the car is 7 years old) ~$50
- get my glasspack welded in, open cat may not be looked highly upon by the local smokies.... ~$40

necessities for comfort/reliability and such
- 2 tires for the 2 15s with bald tires (steelies have shot ass tires on them as well) hopefully find some usable used ones for $50-100, or less....
-camber bolts ~$60
-alignment ~$80

total $280-330

not too shabby, but i also need to find a cd player for it, hopefully an OEM one, cuz then i dont have to buy a harness, mounting piece, or antenna adapter....

I had those 3 items for sale before....too bad there pending sale right now.

but after the white car is done getting to runing condition, what are you plans for both cars? sell the white one or daily drive it and drive blue car on weekends?

the whtie car will become my main driver. just to keep the miles lower on the blue car. if the deal falls thru on your cd player, hit me up

also, one other thign i did today, was change out that upper mount with one that was half ass filled with urethane crap. i'll prolly end up ordering some MM inserts after the more necessary thigns are done....

gramps, yeah, i do tend to get a lil bit into my work when it comes to cars. i have spent time on the car pretty much every day since thursday....

opi, she's got 101,7xx on her IIRC.

so today i grabbed some walmart cheapo super tech engine degreaser and gave her bay a good soak down.... but i forgot to get before pics... it didnt do WONDERS, btu it did make a difference. i also forgot to add that i knocked out the fiberglass bondo that was used to shave the 3rd brake light, sicne it was cracked, the other day and installed my extra 3rd brake light. i also got the trunk cleaned out yesterday, and the backseat MOSTLY cleaned out today, except for a few things on teh fllor. but i did find the missing fuse box cover.

so now all that is missing is audio and an air bag/air bag delete... i also picked up the stock speakers from one of the SXTs from my parents house, and figure ill just use one of the stock CD players with an adapter for the 00 plugs, anyone know wherei can get this harness?
