1st things 1st... Here's the lip I have on the car right now...
I chose the r/t look cuz I really like and want a R/t front bumper but didn't wanna spen close to $300 to get one when I knew I still had to cut and modify it to fit over my ic..... So I made up my own using some stuff from Home Depot and it looks really good... Only thing I hate is that it bends and moves sometimes and that made me wanna start this project...
Today I picked up some more materials I needed to start on the lip...
What I have so far... (1 layer of glass on the bumper)
As you can see I don't really care if the bumper is meesed up by using the resin on it simple cuz I can get a new one for like $35 bucks at certifit. Before the day is over I wanna have the mold of the bottom portion of the lip done with at least 2 or 3 layers of fg so that it could keep the shape and still a lil flexible...
I'm not gonna rush this project cuz I want the finish product to be without any flaws and perfect... I intend on making 2 of these... 1 for me of course... and the other to hopefully get a vendor on here or srtforums that could mass produce them in either fg or cf.... (:cough: evil creations or carbon works
) As we all know, there's not that many lip kits for the 00-02 neons that look good enough to even look at... So hopefully this lip could make a lot of peeps itching to have...
I will post more info as I go on how I plan on having it mounted and bolted on...
