i was wondering because on dodge parts a guy on the reviews said you needed a adapter to make it work on a sxt. https://www.dodgeparts.com/product_revi ... 9befe5c16c see read that i typed that number in at dodge parts nouthing came up.
checked wholesalemopar.com and its an adapter exhaust. no illustration though.

if your using a r/t exhaust from a 2nd gen, then it all bolts up. no adapter needed.

Yes it is just a simple muffler reducer. Most people do not realise that the RT neon actually came with full 2 1/4 piping. It contains no taper like the sxt and even srt midpipes have. An RT muffler will not bolt up to the stock midpipe without it.BlackRoseRacing wrote:The "Adpater" is just a reducer to allow the R/T muffler to clamp onto the SXT exhaust system. This can be picked up at any autoparts store for around $5
This is what the mopar adapter looks like.
