I was told by several people they will fit fine WITH the stock tires. well...they are rubbing on the base of the spring/strut assembly.
So is everybody just changin the tires for the SRT rims or what?

Who told you that? The SRT-4 has higher spring perches. You'll either need to get SRT-4 struts, coil-overs, or smaller tires. Or, you can modify your struts to clear the tires.

yea, all of a sudden these don't seem like such a good deal for $500 bones. Might as well get a nice set of aftermarkets now.

Yep I had to go with smaller tires. If you keep your stock suspension the largest tire you can go for is a 45 series and not the 50 that the SRT comes with. I personally like slimmer tires so I went with a 40 series tire.

get srt struts
get coilovers
get new tires
your choices.
Don't run spacers just for the sake of making your wheels fit.

you can slightly modify the spring perch and they will fit. Or get new tires a 45 should work fine. A 40 will also work but the 45's will give you a much better ride. But personally id do the modified spring perch like many others have and be done with it for free.

I've been told the size difference is too much to make up for spacers since its the actual height of the tire not the width.
