2005 Dodge Neon SXT

Well i have decided to see what i can get for my neon. I want to try out a different car. And yes i have made sure with my parents that it is alright to sell my car.

Just put 4 brand new tires on it less then 2k miles ago

Car is completely Stock except Sony speakers
Miles: 22,000

KBB: $12,721

i know i will not get anywhere near that so offer

you can prob get 12k for that if youre patient enough. Low mileage and very clean. Might have to settle for somewhere near 11 though. Bump!

damn, i bought my neon for 12K a year and a half ago. and i still have 18K miles so good luck. patience my friend.

^I think he wants something a bit sportier. I mean, just the atx would make me want to get rid of it.

I should hope that you could get at least 10k for it. If you just wanna get rid of it, set the price as low as youre willing to go and start advertising. The shitty resale value of our cars is straight up retarded. Its the curse of the american econobox.

and no its not a honda...

its a 2003 Mitsu Eclipse GTS with 55k miles, CF hood, and black rims.

only 8,900 for it.

think they would trade strait up???

I wouldnt trade it in .. excellent condition is 8,800 and private party is 10,300 if you thought about trading it in and want to get rid of it dont settle for 8.5 and try to sell private but cheap like 9.5, Cant be to hard start putting it on autotrader and cars

They have weekly publication that is distributed around wisconsin, illinois, indiana, ohio, and michigan
I sold my 00 neon in a week for like $30 Plus I got what I wanted out of it.

With that being said about a year ago when I was getting my SRT the local dealer had like 5 sxt neons with around 15-25k miles on them and they were selling them for right around $10k

Why sell a perfectly good domestic car to buy a foreign car that's older, prolly has more miles, and will certianly cost more to insure due to the GST badging? keep the neon, ride it till you're 19-20ish, then get something sportier. you'll appreciate the lower insurance if you start getting tickets, trust me. I wish i had followed my own advice. i sold my perfectly good baretta when i was 17 to buy a '97 prelude SH and promptly wrapped it around a brick wall doing something i never would have been able to do in my baretta. $3k out of pocket on down payment, traded in baretta, a month later i'm begging friends for rides cause i wanted something sportier. thoughts like that tend to get people our age (yours now, and mine at the time) in trouble.

we have already tried to convince him he should keep it but he is dead set on getting rid of it.

since his parents are willing to foot the bill he is going to go ahead with it.

I think you'd be lucky to get 8k, despite whatever upsides we all see in it.

The sad truth is that neons...don't go for crap.

You can pick up an SRT with 50k for 10 grand. (Might not be in the best shape...)

i'd take what the dealer offered...i don't think you'll get much more...that's just my opinion though
