Let me start off by saying...
I CAN SEE EVERYTHING ON THE ROAD!!! They aren't that wide, but they go FAR AND HIGH!! (Yes I aimed them properly.)
And Josh I'll get those pics for you tomorrow my car was dirty lol.

Paint chipping ftl.

The cutoff in this picture is right above where the parking lot ends.

Cutoff in the fog.

ba-ZING.

I'll bring in better pictures tomorrow night, these were quick ones on the way to a friends house.
I can't imagine what these are gonna be like with HID's. I can't wait.

Aim them so they look like "C" below.....

When you aim them, put the car on a perfectly level surface facing a white wall, garage door, etc. Make sure the car is 25ft. away from the wall. Take a measuring tape, measure from the ground to dead center of the headlight, then put a peice of tape on the wall at the same height. Then put the low line of the cutoff 2" under the tape. That is the proper way to adjust projectors on any oem equipped car. Actually that is how I adjust all headlights, I adjust all of my friends headlights, it's one of my pet peeves, I think it is tacky as hell to see misaligned headlights at night, or shaking headlights. Makes a car look cheap, and unappreciated....LOL.

You can only color mod them if you can reach the shield inside with your finger or something, and SLIGHTLY bend the shield back towards the bulb, NOT the lense. You can try to reach in with your finger "best way", or you can try to use a bent butter knife or something.glasswars wrote:Lol thanks for the guide. How do I colormod them? I don't really have much access to the projector.
The best way to do this is to wait until you get the HID's, and do it while you can test them right away, like uninstal the headlights, and set them up on your engine or something, do a slight shield bend on one of them, put the bulb in, fire it up, if you want to try for more color, take it out, bend a little more, remember, a little at a time. It is best to shine the light about 20 feet away from a wall to show the best representation of color. Then do the other one that way you can get one to match the other instead of doing them both at once and one going too far.
The downside on SOME projectors is that the cutoff slightly blurs, but this has actually been benificial as the sharper the cutoff the more of a tendancy they projectors have to annoy other drivers as the "flicker" is greatly amplified. Flicker happens when you are driving and the car is following the road, and the beam is going up and down, this sometimes can put the cutoff right in other drivers eyes, thus giving the affect of you flicking your lights on and off. Next time you are driving towards another HID projector equipped car, take notice of this effect.
By blurring the cutoff, you soften the flicker effect so that it is less noticeable, and less annoying.
However, I said some projectors, because, I have seen some cutoffs actually become sharper.

Then they are aimed too high, projectors should have ZERO glare, or be almost blinding to other drivers, thats what the shield is for, it blocks 100% of the glare from the bulb. Actually, projectors should look rather dim if you are looking at them above the cutoff.
Read my above advice on aiming, that will put the MAXIMUM amount of light on the ground for your car (each car is at a different height). It will also prevent other drivers from seeing any glare.

what i did was run the wires for the halos into the wire for the leds, then ran those to the parking light wire at the turn signal bulbs. (yellow/black is standard parking while orangey is turn signal and black is ground).
and the harness for the low and high beams plugs into the stock harness.
