Tinted tails

How many coats of night shades makes them nice but still somewhat legal.
If you can post pics and how many coats it has.

2 or 3 works. if you go to my thread in the pic section you will see what 3 coats on the 3rd brake like and side markers looks like

the thread is titled 'took a few shots'

He didnt tint the Reverse light did he ?
i'M debating wheter to just put em on stock or tint em.. I have the tint right now but once u tint u cant go back. I guess if i mess em up I can juss go with carbon altezzas .
Also once u tint can u get bitched at by a cop about it ?

Wats your opinions ?

no. he didnt tint the reverse part.

if you go too dark, im sure you could get bitched at. but i never had any issues. had a set of tinted ones on my 00 for a long time also with no issues.

i vote tint them. tinted tails would go great with your wheels, also, tint the sidemarkers as well, to tie teh scheme together

Any help of how to go about taking the side markers off ? I never tried to or even look at how to.

Pull the clip holding them on off and take them out.

you have to reach under the bumper. the passenger side is kinda tricky though because of the windshield fluid bottle. you pull off a clip that holds the marker and pull the whole thing out. then to take out the bulb, you have to twist the rubber socket.

hmm ill play with it.. the tails r tinted as of now. for the third brake light im just gonne tape it off and put paper all over trunk.. might be easier then going through the trouble of taking it out.

you can remove niteshades with terpentine or something like that. check the VHT website and it has info on removing the niteshades if you go too dark.

3rd brake light is CAKE to take out. its just 2 nuts.

here are mine. I had like 5 coats on mine, but they are very light coats. I like them so much better tinted. I shouldve done it a long time ago.

I love the outcome of tinting tails.
I made a how-to check it out for the outcome sorry bout bad pics but there pretty decent for a phone.
