Anyone heard of these Spiderlites?

Post by Ifixyawata » Sun Mar 25, 2007 8:11 am

Saw these online and wondered if they'd fit an '03+ car. They look like they'd work well assuming they fit, due to the round nature of the lens in the taillights. There's a total of 60 LED's on each of the 5-arm 'bulbs' which should be plenty bright.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Oh wait, I just noticed that the $50 price tag is for ONE bulb. $100 for a pair?! For that much money I could buy an extra set of tails and try my hand at building custom LED bulbs. Meh, not worth the trouble I guess.

yeah... they might be expensive but don't LEDs last forever?

I'd be interested in seeing them on a car though before I'd consider buying them.

Damn dude, for $100, you can pick up a fix-up 1st gen!

I'm a complete geek when it comes to optoelectronics, and I'll often try new things in that sector of the tech market. But damn, $50 a pop is way too much.

I just ordered myself some thru work....56 bux for the pair..I'll let ya know how they look once I get them in.

Okay I got them in...they dont have as many LED's as the one in the first picture, although I ordered the medium bulbs...four on each arm (two front, two back) ..they look pretty cool, much brighter. Now I have to fix the ricer flash, but that relay is on the way.

If any one else wants some I can get them for like 60 bucks shipped.
