Stock head unit help, 2001 RT

I have a 2001 RT neon with the stock head unit and 4 disc changer.

all of a sudden today it just started to flash on and off, it sends a little pop sound to the speakers. i cant get it to stop, i turn the radio off and it keeps flashing, i even turn the car off and back on and its still going.

any ideas.
