rad shroud

Post by Panhead » Tue Mar 27, 2007 11:46 pm

anybody using a perrin performance rad shroud on there neons? i mean not the srt's, just the sxt's. i got a srt-4 perrin rad shroud and the holes on the shroud isnt lining up right to the rad support. meaning the pin on each side, on top of the rad. just wondering if anybody ran into this problem. thanks.

The SRT and the SXT have not only different radiator shrouds, but radiators as well. I'm not familiar with perrin, but if your having mounting issues, this could be the problem...(that is if I understand that your trying to mount a SRT radiator shroud to an SXT radiator)

radiator is shifted to much to the left. i searched the site and found some engine bay pics. the pics i saw had the radiator centered. so im going to the body shop where it was fixed and ask them how my radiator is not centered.

as my radiator is not centered, i cant use the perrin shroud. go figure.

yea it was in an accident. i took notice my buddies srt-4 rad was over to the right instead of being centered. it wasnt in an accident. next weekend im going to stop by the body shop were it was fixed up. i think the guys did a half fast job as some f the paint on the front bumper is peeling off and the bolts to the hood and fenders were just snugged. i rear ended some lady in jersey. all the damage was on the upper half of the front end (above the bumper bar).
