Found some magnum intake manifold info

Post by jmr » Wed Mar 28, 2007 2:35 pm

I called ChryslerPartsDirect.com because like some of you I'm looking for a magnum intake manifold and they are tough to find.
The part # for the assembly is 4884065AE MSRP is $364.00 their price is $283.92 and DCX says it weighs 12 pounds.
The part description is: Engine / transaxle - Engine parts - Intake manifold - W/r/t - 2.0 liter 2001 - 2004

Or, you can go to www.dodgeparts.com go to:
Fuel System / Fuel Induction / Intake / Intake Manifold

Intake manifold, neon, sohc, all, 2.0l, w/high output 03-05 MSRP: $234.00 Your Price: $182.00

"S&H will be 10% of the your total purchase, with a $8.75 minimum shipping charge. "

**EDIT**

Wait, someone wanna explain this?

Image

Anyone know the EXACT part number for the 00-02 R/t manifold, and the 03+ Manifold?

I saw that too and asked the parts guy if that was the complete assembly. He said that part # 4884065AE was for the complete assembly. One way to verify is see if the weight is the same for the two part numbers. I'm not sure but I'm think the $182 part is the upper part of the manifold (although why would you sell them separately).

Another option is that Mopar Performance offered a polished intake for the R/T and SRT. The catalog I have is from 2004 and it shows the entire manifold although I don't know what the part number is for it.

We need a lifeline...doesn't one of our members work for a dealership ?

The first one listed is the regular intake manifold
The second is the r/t manifold
The third is listed as 2.4l dohc so it is the srt4 manifold

That doesn't make sense according to the search it should be $182. I wonder what the difference is between the 2 part numbers ?

Ouch this is gonna hurt....

I got this info from member T Vago's garage info. He has actually ordered a Magnum intake on-line (great info bro). This concurs with BlackRoseRacing's comments.

Has to be bought in pieces 1 x 4884065AE - upper manifold 1 x 5018787AC - lower manifold (included tuning valve actuator & mounting screws, brake vacuum hose, and MAP sensor) 1 x 4884067AB - plenum gasket between upper and lower manifold 1 x 4648623AB - gasket between intake manifold and cylinder head
