Remove springs or no?

Post by kc2005ptgt » Fri Mar 30, 2007 1:23 am

Not sure where to put this, but since it is suspension question, so here goes.

I am doing a lot more driving right now, and and while delivering in some places I cant even go into the driveway because my car is so much lower than normal  I am thinking about taking off the 1gn RT springs and putting back on my stock springs... what do you all think, shoudl I or no? I have pics of what they look like with both on and off...

ALSO, this sounds stupid, but bear with me ok? What if I put the rear stockers back on and kept the front 1gn RT's on? I like the look fo the front, but the rear just sits too low (close to the top of the fender well) would it create a problem, or no? Should it not be done, or can it be done? I am just wondering... I think it would make the car look level, yet still lower than stock...

here are pics of STOCK:

And for pics of present set up:

I know the car looks s3xy lowered, but my concern is for the protection of the cars front end and struts - I am torn.

I say keep it lowered.... I don't like the way the car drives when in 4X4 mode.... I perfer the way the car rides over a handful of bad driveways. Just my $.02

IF you are gonna raise back up do SRT springs. That way atleast the ass will be down alittle and you will have more spring rate atleast

Hotchkis drops it about the same as what he is now. He would be wasting his money

Get some SRT springs and it will raise it just a tiny bit where it will still look lowered but not as low as it is now.. it will probably drop .75-1in all around from stock. or raise it about that amount from where it is now.

Yeah, thansk guys, I appreciate the input - the only person who voted to raise it back up was : ME

 I will keep it how it is for now, because honestly it is not THAT bad, and looking at stock pics, MAN it is high - if I come across some srt springs (rear) for cheap, maybe I will replace them but not going to go looking for em. Thanks again!

tell me about it  Right now I have no choice, I need a job with a lot of lienency, so I can still make money and pay bills, as well as get out of school, so the worst thing that has to suffer is the car - better it than I or my family.

Besides, I make roughly $20 an hour right now, which is pretty damn good.
