caues its "Borla"... and it sounds great...
its like buying nike shoes... just a little more costly.
I will add that I wasn't a member of any forum before I bought it. (no buyers remorse though)... didn't know much other than it was a quality product and sounded good.

The whole Neon exhaust is bolt on..
If the Borla is 2.25" then you aren't upgrading anything really. You might as well get the RT exhaust for $100, then use the other 300 u would have wasted on the Borla and get an underdrive pulley, a 60mm Throttle body, and some motor/tranny inserts.

Hmm, i would still have to say it isn't worth the money. The SRT puts out 100 more HP and it only uses 2.25" piping. Unless you've got every mod imaginable on your car, it's useless.

wow....Not to be a grump here, but i noticed more out of the Borla (or just upgraded exhaust) than the CAI (since I lost mine in the accident). I wouldn't say that is it a useless mod.
This just happens to be one of the more expensive exhaust systems out there, but the quality is damn good. Just my $.02

Considerable gains by going with 3". Better power throughout the rev band. Allows the turbo to be less choked.

SRTs are a different matter altogether, but they still make a massive amount of power with only 2.25 inch piping. I highly doubt his car will be making anywhere near that power. If his car was an RT i might understand, but we are talking about a somewhat stock Neon.
I think he would be much happier with the setup iv'e listed already. U'll get to throw the exhaust on, and then just wait for your other goodies to come.
I mean, let's imagine this...
He buys the Borla setup and goes to the track to race another stock Neon. The race commences and we'll say he wins, but barely. Now, if he got the setup I suggested he would definately be whooping on that other car.
Also, about the 3" exhaust, you aren't going to see great gains without other supporting mods. If the exhaust were the biggest choker you could go with a 5" exhaust and call it a day.
I know i'm going overboard here, but i'm bored.
