Question for the Girls!

Post by teamliviD » Wed Apr 04, 2007 8:08 pm

or girly men!

Next year or so, I'm gonna be buying a new car for the wife. All that she has told me is that she wants something that is "hot" and when she gets out, everyone says, "Damn, thats your ride!". So girls, help me out, what are some bad ass girl cars (no more then $30K)! I've been looking at BMW's, Mercades, Lexus and so on. What do you think?

G35 is a good looking car, but if you end up going that route I'd say wait a little longer for the G37.

Man to man, this is a lose/lose situation. I don't have a wife, but I do know whatever you buy it will be wrong. Unless she specifically tells you what to buy and you buy it, this isn't going to work out. Not only that but any time it's going to break down, that will also forever be your fault because you bought it. That, or the girl is going to 'fuck you up' for buying a car you wanted instead of the one she wanted, even though that may be farther from the truth.

Best thing to do is just let her pick out what she likes, then all you do is sign the cheque.

How to fix your car:
1. Buy a Haynes manual
2. Read Haynes maual
3. Read and search appropriate threads, trust us, it's been covered before
4. Fix car
5. Consume beer of job well done

My fiance wants a GLI. She won't get one, because I can get the same motor and upgrade the suspension anyway in a lower model Jetta, but she won't drive autos either.

I'm with fixitmattman, let her pick it out - give her a price, whether max $ or monthly price, and then ask her if she wants two-dr, four-dr, SUV, sport, what - and then start showing her pics of cars YOU like in that type she is CHOOSING, therefore, you can get the kind of car you would drive, and she thinks she is getting a car SHE wants. That way, you both win! :D:D:D:D

Make her happy: M3, M5, 300c srt-8
Make you happy: Srt-4
Do exactly what she asked just a little different: Sprit R/T
If you want to have some fun with it: LO-Cost, GLH, Cobra replica, Coulinser GTP, Ferrari 308, NSX, Dakoda R/T.
If it were me: Jeep srt-8 (have to be a little chummy with the dealer for the price you want) Coulinser GTP (mosler supercar with a 2.2 turbo perfect)

i vote for the letting her pick it out ... kind of arrangement ...

as for hot ... everyons deff of that is different ...

i know my wife thinks jacked up 4*4 trucks and 70's muscle cars are hot ...

but i think differently ...

from a 'safe' choice .. i would say a nice sporty lexus ... saturn sky or a mini ...

thinking about it more tho, i can't honestly think of a single car that i would say a comment like that about when i saw someone get out of it ... its more about how the person looks with the car ... the ugliest chick in the world could get ouf a viper and my only thought would be 'who did she screw to get the keys to that' ... but if i saw a nice, curvy red head climb out of it ... ya can bet there would be some extra activities going on afterwards.

Id say let her pick it out, spend some time just looking at stuff. But I reccomend going when they are closed, or she will see something and just 'have to have it!" and may regrett it later.

saturn sky's are pretty nice. or an audi, lexus rx350, or a g35 coupe.

me personally...I like volvos  so a convertible volvo c70 coupe would be a pretty cool car for a girl to have. its convertible, turbo, looks good, and fast.
(its what i really wanted)
