another wiring problem... help please

Post by Liz » Tue Apr 10, 2007 8:37 pm

so i get in my car today and i turned on the headlights and realized that my headlights weren't turning on and my fog lights won't turn on either, my parking lights turn on and my brights will still turn on.
i did check the fuses and they are fine..

does this sound like a ground or something in the switch.

if it does sound like a ground, where is the ground located..
how often do the switches go bad on a 2gn?

The headlight switches in our cars are notorious for going bad. In fact, it sounds exactly like what happened to Mike (03sxt) among other people.

The dealer can order you a new switch as well as a wiring kit to replace any wires that burned out when the switch went bad...

Did you do the mod where you can run your fogs with your park lights without having your headlights on? Thats why 03sxt's went bad...

It dosen't matter if you do the mod or not, Teamlivid Joe's went dab on his old silver R/T and he did not have the mod.

I would still recommend checking the switch and the harness, just to be sure, good luck.
