Removing Intake Manifold

Post by xenonneon » Thu Apr 07, 2005 6:37 pm

I am currently painting my valve cover and I wanted to paint my intake manifold at the same time considering the car is imobile while the valve cover is off. So, what do I need to do to remove the intake manifold? Do I need to buy any gaskets or anything like I did with the valve cover? Thaks guys.

bellows pipe, 2 braces from mani to the block, and the wiring to your starter. its pretty easy, jut crael under there and you can see the braces.

*edit* oh, yeah, and the fuel rail and injectors. remove 2 bolts from fuel rail to manifold, lif off rail/injectors as one piece.

Cool I got it off. It was kind of a PITA but I did it. Anyways, does anyone know how much to torque it when re-installing it? Same with the valve cover, how much do I need to torque that? Thanks guys.
