I beleive the only kit that has links are Hotchkis and they are the largest. The welfare setup is used alot around here and can be bought farely cheap. Its a PT 26mm and a ACR 19mm

Bigger isnt always better. It really is kind of overkill if you dont have alot of suspension work. The Welfare kit is more then most people need for daily driving.

Wish I would of taken them off before I traded my R/T in, but I went to the dealership because I was bored and yea.. Didnt have time to tear apart a car.

I got the suspension techniques from Modern performance. The rear is adjustable. I did however have to buy a couple bolts and u-brackets to mount mine to the car beings that I didn't have a rear sway bar to begin with, but it does come with the end-links. They seem to be pretty nice, I notice a huge difference in my ride.

off topic, kind of - but is the SRT front bigger than ACR/RT front? I thought ACR/RT was 22mm and SRT was 24mm... wrong, right?

I have the 22 mm Non-adjustable Progress bar and it had links. However with the car being lowered I just got some Energy Suspension Shorter End Links to reset rear sway bar geometry.

Balance is the KEY. If you want a safe well balanced road kit then Hotchkis Sways are probably one of the best.

Depends on where you want to run and how extreme you want to go. If you are going full coil over kit or just springs then a full set from one manufacturer is probably best. Like Hotchkis set for the SRT4 including Springs, and Sways would be a great set to put on some Koni's, Illumina's or something like that.

Now if you want to go Racier and more of a true track setup Tein Coil overs at 280 lbs/in then you need to get one of the adjustable bars out back and see how much more front you want based on "On Track" experience. All of the major off the shelf stuff except those teins should push as well as the sway bar setups are designed to maintain push. That would need to be combined with alignment angles reflective of driving style.

I just got to thinking about some sway bars.

There is a 2000 neon up at the local J/Y. IIRC the 2000's came with a rear bar, correct?

If I were to get the bar, bushings, and end-link then I would be all set to throw it on my car, with a set of brackets from the guy in the vendor section (sorry, i can't remember your name).

REAR swaybar?

I just got underneath my '00... I see a couple "bars" in the back that have their ends inside of rubber bushings, but they seem to be two seperate pieces, and don't link together as one rear bar.

??? Am I missing something here? Were there 2G Neons without rear swaybars? Is my car one of them?

And yeah, the Hotchkis looks like the way to go based on specs (concerning front.. IDK about this rear swaybar stuff???)

If you want to upgrade your front you actually do car about the back. Because a basic rear bar will help more than a bigger front. It will balance the car much better and keep the car flatter to boot.

Most basic Neons SE and SXT did not come with a rear bar. Some did. Brother had a 04 SXT MTX that had one. Nothing special was ordered. There are some mounts available and thus require some turnbuckle/heimjoint ends or you can replace rear struts to get the sway bar mounting perch. Then you need the sway bar bushing mounting brackets and 3 of the 4 bolts (one already there holding up the evap canister) and sway bar and with bushings and end links.

Hotchkis are fantastic products and should perform very well. Progress bars are pretty good too. I just added the rear 22 to my stock front 20 and love it. You can get an adjustable 24. Always use Polyurethane.

Make sure, if you just get a regular bar, to get shorter end links to go with to make sure the geometry of the rear bar is good if you have lowered your car. It much improves ride and handling.

I picked up a set of SRT rear struts, I assume then the perch will be there (I don't have them in front of me at the moment).

I am not sure where to get the mounting brackets, other than junkyard (and the junkyards suck here).

I take it Hotchkis sells the shorter endlinks....?

From what I have seen I think they sell the bar with the shortened links only. So when they sell a complete kit you get everything prefigured out. Just bolt in and go. They make well engineered stuff. You can't go wrong there. Their entire kit with springs would be way cool. So you should be fine. Yes those struts should have the perches for the rear sway bar unless someone geeked the over.
