a few nights ago. I was driving home from the movies.... I was doing close to 75mph.... (my reg speed) then a honda civic ( it was new design) and pulled right next to me then he starts to gain speed. So i said fuck it. i started going faster and faster... i hit about 100mph and the rpm was close to 4,000 mark. i said hmmm ok and i see my exit. so i slowly back off and get to the offramp.

my question is that normal 4,000RPM doing 100mph? (remember i live in san diego we really can't drive around here without a cop/CHP every few miles)

Sounds about right. Especially if you have the three speed atx.

Gotta love the gas-saving gears. The 3.55FD 5-speed does even less than 4000rpm at 100mph.

3666 rpm's in 5th gear with 3.55 tranny at 100 mph according to neons.org rpm calculator

watch out for the new civics my roomate just got one. Stock it comes with 145hp and 135ftlbs of touqe. Havent raced it yet cuz he just ordered it this past weekend.

R/T is at 4400RPM at 95MPH

regular 3.55 MTX is lower RPM at high speeds?

....can't even do 80 with the flow of traffic cuz it sounds so bad at close to 4,000 RPM's, people look at you like you're in 4th gear...especially friends who ride with me...they always bitch at me when i do 65 on the highway, then i tell 'em to trade me tranny's and I'll gladly speed up, haha.
