Can't... find... it! Painting Tips.
I thought somewhere on here there was a how too that someone (OB perhaps??) painted a pair of RT side skirts to match their car... Any how too's, or pointers? Yes, I jumped on the bandwagon and bought a set of mopar lip sides, and I had to get blaze red, which will not match my flame red (sux, but for $69!!!). So anyways, I talked to a friend who owns a paint store and he can get me paint, but only for a sprayer (which I do not have) and I guess if Dodge sells rattle cans of it, could I go that route?
My other option is wait until skirts get here and take em to professional and see how much he would charge to do em. I assume it will be most expensive route though. My friend tells me that if I take it to (a guy he knows) this guy he would rather me not touch em, because it will be the same price if I sand and primer, because he will have to go back over to perfect it - which I agree, obviously the guy is a professional and would not put his work on mediocre prep, right?
Sorry so long guys, but my last option is I take it elsewhere - I wonder, could someone point out how I would go about sanding, priming, preping and painting these skirts? And does Dodge sell Flame Red in a rattle can for exterior?

Well if you have faith in yourself.. then paint em, I think im going to paint mine myself.
Every dealer should be able to order you a 6 oz rattle can 9 dollars apiece... and then that needs to be clear coated as well.
I'm friends with a guy who runs a body shop so I dunno I might get an estimate

You could buy one of those aerosol spray bottles. Like the preval sprayer http://www.prevalspraygun.com/automotive.htm
Me and my brother used one of those sprayers when we were painting his 3 guage a-pillar for his truck. We got the paint color-matched at a paint shop, and the shop then recommended picking up the preval sprayer from a marine shop since we did not have a sprayer. It worked out really good.
edit: I forgot to mention that the sprayer is cheap and might help you out if you decide to paint it yourself. The paint is poured into the glass bottle portion of the sprayer and then the aerosol spray is screwed on top of the paint bottle.

i work in a body shop so here...
1.sense they've already got a clear coat on them, all you need to do is take a medium roughness scotch brite to the whole thing, just enough to knock down the shine
2.then degrease and tack them off with a tack rag (like $1.50 at a paint store)
3.spray your sealer down, i believe that you need a grey sealer
4.spray your paint, in your case flame red (PR4), let sit for 10-15 min between coats, retack between coats (with a new tack cloth for best results)
5.tack one final time and then spray your clear with 10-15 min between coats, 2-3 coats (perferably a high volocity clear, sense they're rockers) (DO NOT TACK THE CLEAR!)
give it a day to dry

If you want them to look good the 1st time, get them painted by a professional. It can't be that much to get them sprayed...mine came silver, so I don't know how much they cost to paint them, but I'd go to a body shop and get quotes. Best thing you can do right now.

Hey Andy, don't worry about paint. Bring them up to St. Joe, and I'll have Nick do them for you for free. He's our paint and body guy, and he's GOOD. You kind of have to be when your normal work includes reparing and painting bumpers and doors on Porsche's, Mercedes, BMW, etc. He'll make 'em look like they came from the factory on your car.
