DNO dyno day

Post by SlvrACR » Sat Apr 21, 2007 1:35 pm

I only was there for the morning so I didnt get all the pics. Alot of people showed. Best run I had was 132 hp/ 120 tor and it mostly was because my secondaries werent opening correctly. So tomorrow I install a new secondaries motor lol. It was fun and it was good that we got to all hang out again. It may not be fast but it can corner. O and the vid of the SRT he made 264 hp with only light mods

You know, though, that is a decent torque curve, pretty steady all the way across. And you make power all the way to redline, which is interesting... wondering if it would keep making power? I am curious to see what mine is going to make (I think I am going on May 12th to do a group dyno). :D I hope I do more than 130 at the wheels though :? You can tell that your secdry's aint working

btw, car sounds awesome. I wish mine sounded like that. :( I heard mine outside the car and it has a ricey sound to it.

Wow, Neons galore!
Looks like you had fun.
Yours is the best looking one out of the bunch IMO. Black one and red one are nice...

When I dyno'd mine I pulled 126HP 125tq but the wouldn't run the car to redline, they heard the secondaries and freaked out and killed it.

How can you tell your secondarys aren't working? Just wondering, because I thnk I can hear them open up in the video. I bet the motors are costly.

You can see it where right after 4K it dips a little. They should be opening around 5K IIRC.

What exhaust setup are you running? It sounds awesome.

So they don't allow you to run your car yourself on the dyno? That sucks, cause I know how hard I have to push on my throttle to get the WOT switch to activate...if someone else was driving my car, I bet they wouldn't get the secondaries open. Do any dyno's let you run your own car through the gears?

I'm also suprised that max power was made right at redline...that seems really really high for the mag cam profile.... :-k

He only does it because thats how we always have done the meets. They also are "Neon Guys" so they know alittle about our cars.

Awesome man! Reminds me of why I went with boost though (no offense).

The mag cam is at peak at redline, it would help to be able to rev to 7250 with a stock mag though.

I think that's the NYG that has my srt4 motor in it... not mine, but the guy he bought the rolled SRT from sold it from underneath me.... It was one of the main DNO admins I think that ended up with it. That the car? What'd he run?

Good job! Great pics. That Red R/T with the SRT front is hideous.
