Just realised
Eight years ago yesterday I picked up my neon from the dealership. I watched them roll it of the truck, when I left the lot it had 3 miles on it (after the sales guy took it to put gas in it). 185500 miles later I still love driving it as much as that first day.
Here are some averages... 63.48 miles per day, 4122.22 hours, which is 171.76 days (based on an average speed of 45, which is probably too high) I could have driven around the earth 7.45 times. Approximately 6870 gas fill ups. 61 oil changes.
It has a new engine in it's very near future and hopefully I'll get the same enjoyment out of it for another eight years.

LOL, right on man. Neons are pretty reliable cars if maintained properly and kept up well.

I miss my neon at times. She treated me well and taught me a lot about cars in general. I will always have a special place in my heart for these cars. Heres to the 2gn community.

This goes to show that Hondas, toyotas etc. are not the only cars that can go in the upper 100K mile range and still be fine. Heck my dad had a 1978 Caprice that had over 200K and still ran fine (for the most part), then he sold it to a friend who shortly thereafter wreked it
On the flip side my friend had a 1gn neon that started to burn oil at 70K and ran like crapola no matter what you did to it...lemon?

Im sittin 88k on my 03. Im on my third trans...first time diff pin got the best of me....second I had a bolt bust a hole in the case, lost all the fluid and basicly melted it together. I cant tell you haw many cv's Ive destroyed. Outside of that...mechanicly Ive had no issues. Other than wear out stuff like brake calipers which I am just now having to replace. I look to make 100k about september.
