Srt swap into 02 RT.....Wiring harness question

i know in 03 chrysler changed to the NGC my question is, Does the ENTIRE harness have to be replaced? i know it comes in 3 sections ( under the hood, dash, and from the dash area to the rear of the car) do all 3 harnesses have to be replaced? another thing too...... will i be able to use my original steering column and keys? and how about the RT cluster will 02 cluster work once cars is all rewired with the 03 wiring? the car is in my garage ready to go i just wanna know what im doing before i start

yeah but thats about doing it into an 03, so he didnt need to change the wiring of the car like I have to do thanks for trying to help, someone please help

If you read from the beginning, Diablo0 (the owner of the site) helped out, and his swap was done from an SRT into an 02 RT. It is exactly what you have

yup the info is there like he said above. you dont need to swap out your dash harness if you dont want to. i never did and havent had any issues from it yet. you will get the nvld CEL from not swapping it out, but that is about it. oh and i think your dome and trunk light wont work anymore too. if you want that cel gone then swap the harness out. im too lazy to do that so i just drive with the cel on and ignore it. also you got to move one of the wires over in your engine bay harness connector so your turn signal will work if you dont swap out the dash harness. i cant remember off the top of my head which wire and which slot you move it to...i think it was covered in the sticky though....

lol it's all good. my car was an auto, but then i swapped in the srt 5 speed with the engine so it is not no more...

Doh...... thanks alot so from what im getting outta this is that th only harness i need to change from my car is the engine bay and actual engine harness, meaning i did this for nothing

ok so my last ? of the day is, can i use underhood wiring harness from any 03+ neon or must it be from an SRT

yeh if you did the dash harness already or got one and are up for the job then you might as well. all it is going to do now is make your swap go a little easier since you wont run into so many cels and such. i had got a hold of an interior harness myself and then was like damn this is gonna be a ton of work and sold it. kinda wish i had swapped it so that i could have everything working properly and no codes and stuff. so yeah it wont hurt if you do it or already have done it in your case, but at the same time you can go about without doing it just fine too. i just learned to deal with the cel light since im too lazy to swap that thing in.

edit: oh and no you need the engine bay harness and engine harness from an srt4. the srt 4 engine bay harness has some extra connectors on it for solenoids and stuff and is different from a regular 03+.

dash harness can be from a 03+ neon.. but the underhood harness must be from a srt

do the body harness while you are at it..

I have an '00 SE ATX, what OTHER BS will I have to deal with that they did not???
