I would be very surprised if they'd let you. It's different when you first buy the car. For example, when I first bought my car (it was used), they said that if I wanted the dealer to install a sunroof, they could roll that price into the loan. I would be shocked if they would let me put that as part of my car loan right now. I've seen people extend personal loans like that, but never car loans.

I refinanced my car for 6 months longer and got payments lowered by $40 /month and I got such a low APR that I end up paying $1000 less in the total cost of the car :D

Why did I tell you that? You cant take out a loan unless you finance somthing - you could always ask your bank about getting a personal loan, but then again you need something as collateral (sp?). So I doubt you could do it y0.

Well, it's not really Dodge, per se, that installs them. They hire people to come in and do it. I've only seen a couple that were installed from the dealership and they were super clean, problem-free installations.

On the other hand, the entire roof panel is different on the sunroof models, so I'm guessing there might have been some extra strength added up there. I've never seen an aftermarket sunroof on a Neon.

Back to the subject, I'm not sure what personal loan interest rates are, but I'm gonna say they're probably higher than a car loan considering they've got your car as colateral. I also know that not all personal loans require colateral, but that probably drives up interest as well.

yea, you wont' be able to borrow more against your car.

You need a personal loan. Like stated above your going to have to have something to use as collateral, and not your car.

Why would you wanna get a loan that drastic for parts? Man, what if you blow it up. Then what?

I always pay cash for my parts. If i dont have the money, then no parts. I'd hate to be paying on something that blown to peices.

:withstupid:

that gets racers into trouble a lot. buy parts on credit and not have the money to pay it off. and hope that you win some money to pay it off. but you end up blowing something up and then you need to buy all that stuff again so that you can try and win some money to pay back the parts that are now sitting in the scrap pile.

cash FTW

thats wont work because your car will decrease value fast. they wouldnt give you a loan for the fear of you not paying on it and they having to come and get the car that they wouldnt be able to sell it for nothing. Your best bet is to get a credit card or take out a personal loan(if your credit is good) you can try a credit union or wells fargo they do personal loans.
