local show/TNK & welchspro

so John and i rolled out to a local show today. had a damn good day, after wards we went out and cruised on a local road that was pretty fun. enjoy the pics.

my coworker's fully rebuilt MR-2. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L car.

my other coworker's 1959 Chevy Apache (he also has a VERY nice 1955 Chevy Bel Air)

Rotary Powered. VERY cool.

Owner of this rig was VERY cool, loved my car

after the show John and i hit a cool backroad just outside of Benton City (where the show was) it was pretty fun.

So... this flock of birds flew in front of the car... and i caught one.... the little bastard was twitching still...

bout 3 seconds after that pic.... the little bastard popped his head out of the mesh flew straight at me, scared the shit out of me and flew off.

I bet all the tree huggers are happy thats da wittle birdy is okay.

Both your vehicles are looking really sharp. And those engine bays!! Man, they are gorgeous. I have been trying to clean mine out with no success. I need to get a new valve cover or take off the one I have and clean the shit out of it with mineral spirits and other stuff. My engine bay is pissin me off.
Looks like a nice day for Washington state. It was awesome here too.

Awesome man, looks totally awesome, and sounds liek lots of fun!! I dont know where it is you find out about all these shows, but I would love something like that in KC to do on a monthly basis!

yeah, it was after the show, it was weird, i was pullin hard through this corner in 3rd and suddenly it looked like it was startnig to rain, btu it never dried up, when we stopped i realized i had went thru a cloud of bugs and collected a bunch of them on teh bumper, john only had a couple, he was a little ways behidn me so i musta taken the bitches out before he got there.

Lookin clean TNK.

You have inspired me to tour the country and go to shows in a few surrounding states, I would love to hook up with some 2gn'ers like youselves and hit some shows with you guys.

I really don't have a lot of people here that I *want* to go to shows with. But there are a SHITLOAD of 2gn's around here hooked up. But the owners are either gangbangers (wanna-be's), or just over confident about thier cars.

In the same breath though, I do have a COUPLE of really cool people that I would like to go to shows with......lolelectricbluesxt hasn't had the opportunity to go to a show yet, so I would really like to hit one with him whenever he thinks he is ready.

the Mopar sticker was made by Diablo0. its only temporary, until i have a chance to reclearcoat my hood.

there were awards. BUT, the judging system was hella gay. they had ALL the cars in 3 classes, stock, restored, modified. and all the voting was done by the attendees. noone comes to shows around here to see a neon. they go for the musclecars and hot rods. so i knew i was fucked.

yeah you'd probably have better luck at an import/sport compact specific show. the term import, for some reason, applies to all cars that arent muscle cars or trucks. funny how that works isnt it.
