how do i adjust my head lights

Post by ek2588 » Sun Apr 29, 2007 2:17 pm

I just bought some xenon 9007 HID imatation bulbs and iput them in my car. ( i completly removed the headlights i dont know if u have to do this or not) these light dont go as far as id thought. 3 things could be causing this. 1 the head lights might be pointd downwards, 2 the oxidation on the head light might have some thing to do with it ( even tho i buffed most of it off), these bubls just suck and there realy arnt as good as the standard. Can some one help me out with this ?

im going to go ahead and say answer # 3 is your problem, "imitation" HID, cmon now, if you could get regular bulbs to look like HID bulbs no one would ever buy hid kits and projectors....go grab some silverstars or if you got some extra cash some piaa bulbs....i use the piaa and they are a tad bit better than the silverstars

the bulbs are probably just cheap, simple as that. As far as I know the headlights cannot be adjusted, unless its done by tightening/loosening the two rods that hold them in. I just tighten em all the way down and thats that. Lights are striaght as an arrow.

i dont really give a shit what that link said, I have apc super white simulated hid bulbs, and I love them, they are much sexy'r then the shit ass yellow bulbs, I can see much better then I could with my stock ones, they put out way more light then the stock ones did, I can see much farther down the road, I would pick my "RICER" bulbs over stock ANY DAY! my 2 cents..

There is an adjustment rod on the back of the headlights, it's right below a hole between the mounting bolts on the radiator support.

I'm guessing you didn't read the link, just the title, and got all butthurt because they are basically calling you a ricer??

Your "better output" is PERCIEVED, not real.

The link is basically saying that the stock bulbs WILL perform better than ANY coated bulbs.

It doesn't say you have to like it.

probably because your stock bulbs are seven years old now..and aren't nearly as bright as they used to be.
