it will work
i would be very surprised if it screwed up your trans. i have had a synchromesh type fluid in my trans (that originally came with atf, like yours) for 12000 miles.
i know a few others have used it. and a lot of srt's use it, but thats the 850

yea i think everything should be ok i mean it is made for it its not like im putting in a foreign substance i couldnt get my hands on the mopar so i went royal purple hopefully everything goes ok, ive got a good feeling that this is gunna be a bitch to do without having 4 jackstands i do have 2 ramps tho mabey i can rig something up so the car is level and high off the ground

i have heard alot of people say you shouldn't change your manual tranny fluid until after 100k...b/c it's a sealed system and it should last that long if not longer...and no dirt and shit should get into it....and if you change it you will expose it to other stuff and elements suposilly

ehh, i guess thats one way to look at it
but if you check the fluid level you are introducing all the same stuff.

[quote="J-Villa"]i have heard alot of people say
My Mopar nut instructor says you NEVER need to change it.
As for changing it, its easy, you don't even need to lift all for wheels. A ramp should be fine, because it will get more fluid out.
theres a how-to in the "how-to" section

I actually talked to a RP representative about their syncro mesh, and the guy told me that it was designed with the ATF+4 in mind, but they use slightly different additives that allow for easier shifting...
I'll actually be testing this out in a few more weeks.

I dont know really the haynes manual says every 30k to replace and check it every 7500 miles i also have heared not to change it from some of my friends but i mean what can it hurt its like doing an oil change too soon (thats the way i look at it) and i dont get the smoothest shifts really and i got a noisy trans too kinda sounds like a lil chain rattling when i take off until i let the clutch all the way out it stops dosent sounds like a really bad noise but mabey me catching it early will slow down the process of the wear or just cure the problem by itself

the haynes is wrong saying 30k miles. according to dodge it never needs to be done, unless you contaminate it with water.

well this morning i did the change everything went smooth because i knew what to expect tightened everything up checked for leaks none.. went for a spin feels much smoother and feels like the car wants to roll a bit farther and faster. So far im happy with royal purple job took me about 2 hrs going pretty slow not to make any mistakes and cleaned up some of the stuff under the battery tray because there was a whole bunch of sand lol but the only thing i regret is not getting booger bushings : (
