Anyone know anything about this code? I was driving pretty hard today and the battery light on my dash came on. Battery light is gone now but I still get this code.

Either the field wire is shorted to battery voltage or you have a bad alternator.

2 other thing to check per FSM is you have a good battery and you do not exceed alternator output with stereo equipment.

could be your regulator going out. One way to check this would be to turn on the car, let it run then disconnect the negative side of the battery. If the regulator is fine, the car will still run. It it lopes a little bit, then it could be going out. You can try it, it won't hurt anything, just a test.

You can only do it for so long until the regulator or pcm blows, the battery acts as a resisitor to a point on the charging system, if you run without a battery hooked up for to long it will cause problems.
Just take a multimeter to the battery when the car is at idle, it should be putting out around 13.2-14volts at idle......if its 12.8 or less you have problems....

I stand corrected. I should have stated this too. Disconnect temporarily for around 5 to 7 seconds then place back on the terminal. Thanks Black.
