So i've been thinking

Since the Kaminari Kit is so low, I'm going to change the kyb/progress set up and go with something else. I'd like to go with something that's higher sitting, but I don't want to sacrifice the performance that I get from my current set up.

This way I can custom paint the whole car, add some support under the kit to prevent scrape damage, and not worry too much about damaging the new paint job, and still have performance to go with the hp.

What's a decent ride height set up that would support my desires?

a 1 to 1.5 inch drop i guess would be the best since that's the smallest drops that any company makes. unless you went coilovers. but: pro kit, h&r or opi's mopar springs.

LamboStealth has the Kaminari kit. Before he went coilovers he had the H&R springs on Tokico Blues. (which I currently own now)

Seemed to work for him well enough. I'm sure you can pm him with any questions you may have.

H&R's FTMFW!!!!

You WILL NOT find a better riding spring that handles as well. Seriously, there just isn't one out there that does both. Paired with the Tokico Blues, you can't go wrong.

I had the Kaminari kit with them, never had a problem.

If you have a bit more money, then get yourself some BC Coilovers, that way you can set them up to sit exactly where you feel safe, and you get superior handling in the same package.

But as far as springs, nothing can touch the H&R's for a combo of ride and twisty fun! Combine those with an ACR Rear sway, and a PT GT front......and your car will ride like a dream, and kill the twisties.

Good luck on your choice.

By the way, Speedandpower has the springs for 206.

And they have the Tokicos for $64 each.

That means you get a KICK ASS spring/strut combo, for less than $600 shipped, thats a great price for what you get.

I've ridden on MANY suspensions in a Neon.....nothing comes close.

Buy them, you can thank me later.

I'd say that is pretty good street setup.

I think me and him have gone back and forth a couple of times on my Vogtland springs (told they are made by H&R) but might suggest a Progress Technologies 22 mm bar out back with 2 3/8" Energy Suspension end links for correct sway bar geometry. Mine runs twisties excellent and would however suggest Tokico's over my KYB's (Mine were free so beat that, LOL). If the H&R are very similar to my Vogtland you should expect about 1.5" drop and with the spring rate split the bigger rear bar will not hurt. I still have a stock 20 mm bar up front with the full poly suspension. Not to bad. I just need much wider tires. LOL

I am going to assume cost is not an issue here? Cause if not, then Coilovers would be first on the list, followed by Lambostealth's suggestion of Tokico Struts with H&R's, or any other spring with a similar rate/drop.

Otherwise, there are cheaper options that may be just as good. Stock SRT struts will raise the car, but 1gn ACR/RT springs will bring the stance back down. From what I have been told, the 1gn ACR/RT springs are identical to the Mopar Stage 1's, at the franction of the cost ($40-$60).

I have a set of springs and KYB struts on the way, and a set of SRT struts sitting around. Since coilovers are out of my price range as of right now, I plan on trying the srt struts w/1gn spring set-up, and the KYB w/1gn setup to see which ones I prefer (I also have a kit, and a pretty steep driveway at home).

Coilovers are definitely on the list once I finish school this June, and paying off some bills over the summer !

So a good high end adjustable coilover set up would be the way to go? Do you need springs with coilovers? Maybe I should start doing some research in my spare time, if I ever get any.

Nope. Well, they come with them, anyways. Coilovers are pretty much like an adjustable spring/strut combo built into one, for a lack of a better explaination.

Heres a picture for example purposes.
