AEM uego with MS

Post by Kevin_GP » Thu May 10, 2007 8:46 pm

So, I have it set in the configurator and I have the white wire attached to MS, I have been reading that I have to have setting p1 set on the back of the gauge. I was reading in the AEM instructions that the only difference between p0 (default) and p1 is the gauge either displays lambda or AFR, both have a 0-5 v output. I had it set on p0 (default) before and it wasn't reading right in megatune. What would allow it to read right with the p1 setting enabled?

I have it set as AEM_NON_LINEAR "AEM UEGO Controller AEM-30-230x" in the configurator, I have the older version where the face plates are non-interchangeable, does that matter?

Turbodudey, shed some light for me

(i would check to see if p1 worked right in megatune but im waiting for my power cable for my laptop to be mailed to me, i left it when I went home).

Is it actually the non-linear model?

Try setting it to "aem_linear aem-30-42xx", and see if that fixes it.

It should read correctly in MT with it set on either P0 or P1. The output from the AEM controller should be the same for both. The only difference is that P0 displays AFR on the gauge and P1 displays lambda.

If you want lambda on MT then you just check the "Display Lambda instead of AFR in Gauges" box in the configurator.

Heh, I was just going to respond to this post saying that lol, yeah I don't have the non-linear version, but it is the first version that came out before all the removable faces with the 6 in 1 feature. I also read the instructions and realized that it was a linear feed, not a non-linear, so their lies my problem. I am going to put it back to p0 because Im used to reading it in AFR. I thought the p1 setting had something to do with the feed to MS. Thanks though!

Also, I will pm you later when I get my power cable back for my laptop, I think I have everything fixed with all the problems I was having.

Just start the car and see if the a/f ratio on the gauge face matches the ratio on the MS panel. If not, try another one.

I had the same problem the aem gauge always showed richer than in ms. I think the table in ms is @ fault because the voltage in ms was dead on with the gauge reading. I just tuned of the voltages since the aem ego corrections table is in voltage
