I don't know about you, but myself and most of the people on here vote for the car, and not the owner, there's no pix of me or the other guy up there. Just our cars. I think his car is a great start to what will be an awesome car I am sure.

And like the guy above me said, my Neon looks a little different now too, just like his does I'm sure.

change one of the pre-requisites for the 2gn or the month contest to 3 CURRENT pics.

The person that's submitting pictures of their car should make sure that they are submitting current pictures. What you submit WILL get posted. If you notice your car hasn't been posted for 2GN-OTM month yet and you submitted pictures 6 months ago and you've done alot to it - SUBMIT NEW PICTURES! You can always submit updated pictures of your car if you haven't run yet. I thought that was obvious, but I guess not. *shrug* Unfortunately, I can't go around and ask for new pictures every time I want to post a new 2GN-OTM. It's just not possible. Just make sure you guys send the latest pics with the BEST scenery possible. It's not that hard.

Good luck guys, I by the way will not reveal my ballot  But both cars are pretty damn hot!!

On a side note, when I ran, I had my car pitted against another, completely hot 01 silver ACR - grambo was the owner at the time, and man did he deserve to win it!!! I think the NOTM is simply about showing respect publicly to fellow neon-tuners, not a competition, but a friendly showdown ;) :D

When I think my car is "done" is when I'll run for NOTM. That wont be happening anytime soon.

And yea, not saying who i voted for either.

well i was thinkin.. is this a looks contest? ..because if it is then the right persons winning ... but if its not and you guys do look for a good mod list then a beat up (looking) car will have a good chance in this contest... IF it has alot of performance mods to back it up... example.... i never thought to put my car in there because all it has is rims ,lowered, tinted windows and tail lights... (at the time that i was considering running)... and its only uglier now... BUT... you see i have around 20 hours of hard labor in my roll cage alone... just wondering if things like that are factored into you guys decisions?... b/c looks is the cheapest and easiest stuff to do to a car... so do you guys go... ok he has spent alot of time and money on his car... it may not be all shiny and new...but thats because he drives it HARD

well i know the blue car has an exhaust and an intake so that is performance. and $1500 rims are not a cheap appearace item. neither is depo lights all around. actually come to think of it im sure his suspension cost around $1000. the car is clean stop trying to say its not. like i said b4 both cars are nice!!! i wouldnt mind having either of them but if more people are voting for one over the other its probably for a good reason. unless everyone is :tardbang: but u lol

hmm yeah  looks are the cheapest

and every voter is different, thats what makes this contest exciting, you never know the outcome. apparently the way it works is mike (03sxt) gets all the submissions and pairs up the cars that are most similar (as far as catagories) Show, Go, Both, or neither...

i feel very attacked for voicing my opinion to tell you guys the truth... i AM NOT saying that the blue car isnt clean... looks good... and it dosent say anything about suspension mods on that list ..just a front sway bar... so you cant say that was a part of the reason people voted for it..

Lol, I'm pretty sure my car would lose to whatever car it went up against, but I submitted anyways, I should have waited untill after the mods that i've recently done to submit, because then no one else would stand a chance! (Such a loserish statement!)

I dont think your being attacked this is all healthy conversation. We (or shall i say I ) vote base on looking at the info that was given and deciding between the two cars, some months i dont vote cause Mike does a great job matching the cars that i cant decide.

its hard to say that one person spent more time or money in a car than others, i have been in car shows upagainst cars that spent WAY MORE money than me, and beat them. I have been in shows where i have spent way more time building my car and the other person just payed a shop to do it in a month and lost, its all about what the person judging it see at the moment, thats sorta like how we are doing it we are all judges in the NOM and each judge might see something diffrent in the cars. If your voting you might look at a car and see the detail in the car where as tink might vote on it cause its blue.

either way its all fun. and nobody should take it serious if they dont win.

Man! What crawled up your ass today?!?

WTF are you talking about?! He has an exhaust, and intake and a throttle body as far as performance goes. I have an intake, exhaust, short shifter, upgraded sway bar and performance tires. As far as I'm concerned, in the performance category we are well matched.

So, your theory of people not voting for performance goes out the window. And as far as looks being "cheap", I guess since you have such a "performance oriented" car, you wouldn't know about that smeg.

I voted for the other guy, cause thats the way I am. You seem to have some hard on against my car, and apparently me, since you seem to think NOTM is some "popularity contest"

So whatever your problem is, STFU. If you don't like it, PM me and keep your smack talking out of this cool guys thread. :beatstick:

to get it straight i believe you :quotes: "smack talked" me first... i was complimenting on his car and you... :quotes: "had something crawl up YOUR ass" seems everything i say about this contest if it reflects your car negatively you get upset... no need to tell me to "STFU"...

the "power adders" you have listed are intake and exhaust... he has intake, exhaust, header, and a throttle body listed ..... how are these the same? 2 "power adders" for you and 4 for him... all i said is he has a perfect example of a starter modded neon.... this has gone too far your being disrespectful and i think it should be dropped... my vote is for him and thats all that matters

Yes I say we drop this whole discussion. I like to think that 2gn owners are pretty smart people so I’m sure the better of the two cars will win, not that either car is bad though! Both are very clean and nice :)
