1gn springs on SRT struts, clunking noise

Post by magnus » Wed May 16, 2007 11:44 pm

**Edit**

Ok, I just installed 1gn Springs on SRT-4 struts, and there is a clunking noise whenever I turn right. The noise is not present when driving driving straight, or turning left for that matter. I double checked everything, and everything was installed as it was before.

The noise seems to be coming from the left rear. I am going to assume that the sticky at the top of this forum should solve the problem, but not too sure.

I notice that clunking noise gets louder and faster as I accelerate while turning right, even slightly through a curve.

Has anyone had this issue after lowering the vehicle before?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The car is a 2002 Neon, 105,000 miles.

Thanks,
Chris

Fixed.

The Motegi FF7 Wheels I have on where the issue. I guess if you have stock 2gn suspension, and add SRT-4 struts with an 18x7.5 rim with +45 offset, rubbing occurs, specifically in the rear.

Spacers solved the issue. I will have pictures in a few days.
