milling the head

Post by bigbird » Mon May 21, 2007 10:20 pm

Hey fellas, just a question about milling the head on my 05. When the warranty goes away, I was considering raising the compression, by milling the head. I dont have much knowledge with these engines. Is this worthwhile or is a piston swap, the better alternative? i am looking bump up static compression ratio half a point or so. :gears:

Milling the head should yeild a lil more compression. I swaped DOHC pistons in, and had the head milled .040" on my 05. When I looked threw the sparkplug tubes at the pistons, I thought the pistons were never gonna stop coming up. LOL. Even with that done, I don't have piston to valve tea parties.
