OK so I have decided to go all JL Audio.
TR 350-Cxi
TR 650-Cxi
TR 690-Txi
I can have for about $240 without shipping costs.
Now I don't know if I should keep the stock look and have the stock cd player still. Or go with aftermarket. Now if aftermarket, then which brand and model. Since I am putting some nice speakers I might as well have a nice head-unit.
Possible ideas:
1. Panasonic
2. Clarion
3. Eclipse
I don't know, need some feedback.
Thanks,
Ryan

If you want some good clean sound quality, go with Eclipse and Clarion... Panasonic, although many swear by it, I hate. If you are looking for a stereo for looks alone, stick with panasonic. I have a Kenwood Execelon and love it (KDC-X889). Massive amounts of signal processing capabilities, sweet tuner, a remote you can wrap your hand around (not just some credit card that will get lost somehow). Anyway, enough with the Kenwood, go with what you like and what sounds good with the features you want. One recomendation is to look for a head unit with RDS.
Recomendation: Drop the TR 350-CXi and TR 650-CXi and stick with a TR 650-CSi. You will have better precision and a nice set of matched components designed for each other. Plus you will save about $20 if you buy it from the right place. Personally, hold off on purchasing the TR 690-TXi, go with the VR-650CSi. The VR will give you better response and a crossover system that will allow you to tweak it better to your music. I have both the TR and VR series component sets in a 2001 and 2003 neon. You will be happier with the VR... trust me. Later, look into the VR 690-CXi.
Cheers

So what your saying is...for the front, install components, woofer in door tweeter where 3-1/2 goes? And a 6-1/2 component system in back too?? I kinda like the bass the 6x9's put out. And what was wrong with the separate speakers in front?Spork wrote:If you want some good clean sound quality, go with Eclipse and Clarion... Panasonic, although many swear by it, I hate.
