The water in water tank has started making a "bubbling" sound as though it's not going through the pipes properly. I took it to the garage today who watched it and the water started spitting and leaking from the tank. The mechanic said it means the head gasket has gone. I've no idea about these things so I will have to take his word for it - but what do you guys think?
I've been advised to sell but I've only had her for a couple of months.

sounds pretty accurate.. unless you recently had your rad flushed.. and then it may have some air in it.. however your car would probably be overheating if that was the case..
unfortunately for you, the mechanic will most likely have to have the block or head plained or both.. to ensure its not warped, otherwise the new gasket won't even make a difference..
