AC condenser leaking

I waxed my car yesterday and looked into the front bumper where the big open slots are and i saw the ac condenser it didn't look too pretty rocks were destroying that thing i saw a line of some type of fluid didn't look orange so it was prolly the ac gas that gets condensed and turned into liquid? so it looks like its too late to save the condenser if its already leaking what do you guys think is there any way to save it or is there any way i can stop these rocks from hitting the condenser if i replace it? TIA
