Well all the parts are on, car seems ALOT better than stock.

Went and weighed it, 2520 lbs on the button.

I'll post back tommorrow with slips. see what she has. Supposed to be low 70's with a 15-20 mph winds pushing us down the track

well wasn't what i expected...and i will admit it took me awhile to get some decent launches.

by best time, and worst was close, was this...

R/T - .739
60' - 2.411
330 - 6.811
1/8 - 10.37
MPH - 69.33
1000 - 13.447
1/4 - 16.030
MPH - 87.028

not too bad. Everybody was running slow today too. It ended up being 82 outside with VERY high humidity. Friends GTP that runs 14.4 constantly was hitting 14.7's all day long.

little bro beat a modded EVO 8 with his hahn stage 2 98 r/t.
pulled a 13.4 and the EVO did a 13.5. Close , but dang! not everyday you see that happen!

agree'd.

I know i could've hit a high 15 today though. I just had some hard time getting used to launching it. SO much different than a 1g, felt weird. when i ran my 16 though my launch was excellent, but I know i still could've done better. was just getting used to it

plus cooler weather and less humidity wouldn't done wonders

Did you pull the power steering belt like I said to? If not trust me it should help you, might be hard to turn, I was skeptical until I tried it, and with the mods you have I ran same 16.0, threw in cam#12 took belt off, and ran 15.6 sooo .4secs is not a bad improvement, and Im sure it wasnt all the cam... Just give it a try!!

From the "What times have you run" thread.

im depressed. I was hoping a low 15 at the least. I am an experience driver though, so we'll see what she can run. I guess its just gonna be a surprise
Good luck with Low 15's, I would expect low 16's or high 15's.
I totally called it man, 2g's are slow. That's why I gave up on mine.

im a die hard. I will not give up.

Im thinking now about doing a SRT turbo setup. just gonna read up on it a bit more to see how well everything converts over. The 2g is much easier to turbo than a first gen. the layout in the engine bay is much nicer.

We'll see. I thought about doing a straight up SRT4 engine swap, but thats gonna be more than I am willing to spend at the current time. Don't wanna promise im doing it either, cuz i don't wanna look like a chump if i don't deliver.

So right now, up in the air for sure on 'Chill Factory' or 'Custom SRT-4 Turbo' setups.

Its the adapter plate for the turbo that causes all the trouble.. Good luck finding one.. Unless you do a CF kit... Even then it isn't all bolt on either.

I don't know, its cheaper to just build your own. The only problem is knowing how to do it. I might just find a manifold (im sure there are plenty makes around) and get a super16g. Mod the front for an SRT IC and run the piping just like the SRT. Ive done a homebuilt before, learned the do's and don'ts on turbo kits.

We'll see. All motor seems to take more, but you get more respect out of it. I just want a fun street car that i can take to the track and do some respectful times with. I don't plan on anything more than a low 14, cause thats fast as hell. Turbo would just be an easy way to run those times.

Low 14's are fast as hell? WTF? A low 14 second car feels quick, but isn't anywhere near fast as hell.

Well fast as hell depends who says it, probably fast as hell for you is a 10 sec car, but a pro drag racers would say its slow as hell

14 second car is fast. my little brothers r/t ran a 13.4 at the track and it is FAST.

im going for a quick street car. Im not aiming for 12's or 11's. Im being realistic. It can be done but once a car is that fast is does loose some of its dependability.

I ran a 14.0 flat, and it didn't feel very fast.

I have been in a 5.0 that runs 12.3's, now that's fast.
