DC rear strut bar vs cheap eBay knockoff

Post by anomalous0 » Wed Jun 13, 2007 1:51 pm

I know the DC rear strut bar is a much higher quality piece, and will be more effective due to the fact that it has no joints, but I want to know if anyone has run both, and if there are any appreciable gains even from the cheap eBay knockoff. I'm asking because I don't have the money for the DC piece right now, but might want to get it in the future. I'm not even going to bother with a front strut bar, but when cornering the tail tends to "hop" around. Still far more stable than stock, but not as predictable as I'd like.

i don't know if mopar makes them for your neon, but they have upgraded rear tension bars for the srt. i would look into those for your car. the ass of the srt has a tendency to kick out as well on hard corners as well as under heavy braking, and these help dramatically with that issue.

they're pretty cheap too, like $50 or something if i remember right.

They work on all the neons. :) One of my more favorite suspension pieces I had on my 03 Neon R/T
