Beeping

Why when i am at high rpm, i get a beep like a CEL is coming on, but its not on?

Does you CEL light even work? Is it burnt out? Check by turning the ignition to ON, but not start and see if it is on.

Also, check to see if your door is closed (duh!), or perhaps one of your door pins switches is bad. Maybe a ding for the seatbelt, do you wear yours?

that is all I can think of.

i get one of those once in awhile. with no cel and the door closed. must be a neon thing.

does anything flash at all? Bc it could be a number of things, it could be your brake light coming on and off. When the seal over my piston on the brake caliper ruptured, everytime I would accel the brake light would ding, I came to find out that my brake fluid was almost empty and had leaked all over my rims and tires. If everything is fine, then Idk what else to tell ya. good luck

sorry i havent posted to any of the questions.

Yes the CEL works because i just fixed a P0420

But it doesnt flash or anything, just one ding.

I'll have to check the brake fluid, it is DOT 3 fluid right. (The reservoir is in the back, but what is the one next to it?) Maybe clutch fluid?

I'll check all of the fluids tomorrow.

The only time i hear it is when i accelerate from 1st to 2nd at WOT.

When you say high RPM's, what exactly do you mean? 5,000? 6,000?

yeah, sounds like what my car does with the udp on it... after 5000rpm it likes to blink the CEL, until i back off the throttle.. kinda annoying, but hey, what can ya do. Another thing is i read that if exhaust temperatures are too high(lean engine) then the computer will sense that the cat is going to be damaged within minutes, due to an improper fuel mix.

It also should tell you right on the caps which fluid goes where.

i had that, brake light coming on and the "bing" sound, i had to replace my brakepads and disks (the brakepistons came out to far and the fluid low "bing" sounded)

Do you have a low fuel warning? Possibly under acceleration it's going off and the light isn't working?
