Then he can't even break out of the 14s in his SRT... I find that very humorous..
I didn't know 14.0 was slow for a stock srt-4 at 6000ft altitude, thanks for the info.

Sorry, you're too late bud, I was here well before I knew anything about this thread, or the one on SRTforums. I've been attempting to help out your community with my knowledge through advice and HOW To's since I signed up. This is the thing about the way carbon fiber parts like the PVO spoiler are made, they are made form a mold, the mold doesn't change, to they will all fit the same, look the same and install the same. I can understand them fuggering the cut, although that can be adjusted with a little filing, but the fit will be the same on all of them. the spoiler is a little flexible and needs to be pushed on snug, and if the surfaces are prepped correctly, the 3m body moulding adhesive will not release like that. Personally I think there is a lot of installer error, but I wan't there, so I can't know for sure, but think about it, they are all made form a mold, shape will be consistant.

Actually, if you compare the two, mine and the blue one, now that I'm looking closer to see what went wrong, it is blatantly obvious that he didn't push it on snug. Look at how mine lines up to the brake lights and the tops of the tail lights, then look at that one, there is almost a 1/4" of difference. I am willing o bet 2 things.

1) Installer didn't test fit and mark where it needed to line up

2) Installer pealed all the tape and then tried to install it causing it to not be able to be pushed on completely and snugly.

You really don't listen do you??

I installed the spoiler. I did everything they told me to do, including ensuring the surfaces were warm, that the area was clean, and I used 3M prep wipes on the surface, peeled the tape back partially while installing directly where I test fitted, in between my wax crayon marks. When I test fitted it, it was close, but still off.

Once I got it on, I used clamps with microfibre rags to protect the surface to hold it down on both the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the lid.

I worked in a body shop for almost 2 years. I have installed every part on my car, INCLUDING my mopar lip kit which uses a very similar installation technique and it fits dead-on.

Its a matter of a quality product (Lip Kit) versus a poorer quality product (spoiler).

If you're just gonna sit there and flame away and not listen to others arguments, take a hike.

And for the record, if you had read all along, you would have kept this on-topic by discussing the unprofessionalism of CBD by publically trashing one of their vendors, and not kept ragging on the fact that you happened to get some of their very very few quality products.

Please discontinue posting in this thread, inless you have something intelligent to add, lest it get locked for your stupidity.

I love this, you are the "Boobie Moderator" of your forum, I'm the "HOW TO" moderator of another, it makes a bit more sense now.

Since you want to keep this on topic to a post on another website, and not on topic to your thread hear bashing another company for probable user error, let's do it. What is wrong for a company who co-sponsors a website with another company to air it's dirty laundry. It's apparent by that thread CTA has some idiot customers/nutswingers. So said morons can't install their part, cry to CTA who wants to jump ship on their partnership with their vendor. It's a lot easier to pass the blame than tell some idiot to go screw himself. I completely understand CBD going on their saying the reason I'm not selling to CTA is because they suck as a dealer, and don't blame me for your screw ups. In the real world, the customer is rarely right, and customers need to exercise proper customer etiquette and personal responsibility. It's understandable though with the demographic they target to, a group of tweens that live with their parents and have little to no responsibility to anything. I'm in the auto customization business, my wife owns a shop, we run it, and guess what, we essentially pre-screen customer like that. If they look like a whiney little turd spending their wad on some work, I raise the price so high they will take their nit-picking bullshit to the guy down the street and I can reserve my services for people who will appreciate it, not try to find something to complain about because they think their world revolves around them because mommy and daddy still wipe their ass for them.

So hats off to CBD for not taking the sniveling little turds crap anymore. They are moving into a higher end line of cars it seems anyways, very smart move, always go for the quality, not the quantity.

you might not like dealing with idiots....

but we don't like dealing with assholes and we don't like seeing alot of members gettin screwed....

i wonder if a car company had 5,000 cars out of 50,000 that were nothing but complete shit. I bet that car company wouldn't sell more than 5,000 cars....

It's plain common sense...But go ahead and support people who trash their vendors and continue to distribute shit out there....

and your thing about the mold thing....wow they must use ONLY 1 mold right? wrong ...they probably have dozens of molds...so every one is not gonna be consistant with one you bought years ago buddy...

take a hike

balls....EVEN IF he installed it incorrectly, AT LEAST one of those people who complained had to have read the directions and followed them correctly....and it still turned out like shit....and as for your "they all come from the same mold"....um, so your saying companies make b-grade products on purpose?? they have a seperate b-grade mold? molds are never 100% everytime and its CBD's job to sort out the products that dont pass standards.....i have seen many good products from CBD, however, i have never seen a company produce so many bad products and somehow still be make a profit.....

Someone needs to step up and provide GOOD quality parts, that actually ship on time, and don't screw others over.

Oh... wait... we don't live in a perfect world.

Forgot about that one.

I agree to a certian extent with ballsdeep cause i see it hands down people go to a shop and nitpick on petty stuff, thats why i work on people cars for free (like a hobby) and i wouldnt never want to work at a shop to get paid, i seen people get a paint job and cry cause they got overspray on there window.... hello its a window clean it off. on the other hand if your are going to have a bussiness and you stand by your name and your products then its your job to insure that the customer is happy and is fully explained before making the purchase.

Maybe CBD should put a warning like the bodykit companies do and say * products should be installed by a professioal shop* that way its ok for it not to fit perfect cause the CBD would be impliying that you should seek a shop for installation.

^so your saying its ok for companies to make poor quality products as long as they say "should be professionally installed"? then why bother paying the extra ass raping CBD price if it fits so bad i need a shop to install it? bottom line is CBD started out making good products to build up their customer base and put out a good quality product, but then when business started booming they gradually put out worse and worse product.....if all these people are lying and CBD really does make only top knotch quality, why isnt there a thread like this for ANY OTHER CF PRODUCER!?!?!

well by them not saying "should be professionally installed" they are implying that there products are perfect and the average JOE could install them. But if im buying something that says is should have a professional install them then its a warning to me as a consumer that lets me know hey do i want to kick out this money for this product and have someone install it. Lets be real electricblue wing fitmint is pretty crappy but a professional would have no problem installing that on his car perfectly and i bet if it had the "should be professionally installed" warning on the product then he might have not bought it and if he did he prob wouldnt complain about it cause it was a warning that he did not adheare to.
