blew my door speakers!

Post by hybrid-Srt2001 » Sun Jun 17, 2007 7:34 pm

ok so, i blew my door speakers, cause there is no more noise coming out of them, and they're making popping/buzzing noises. the question i have is how are the dash tweeters wired up? do they quit working if the doors do? i can't hear the dash speakers working, and i don't see how they could be blown also, at the same time. they are brand new infinity's... any ideas.?

you have the component set or just doo speakers? that would be very odd for both doors to go out at the same time. I would re-check your wiring.

They aren't wired together I don't think. When I took my stock door speakers out the was only 2 wires on the connector. You should be hearing sound from your dash speakers. The popping may indicate a short, My one speaker started popping little by little and got worse. Turned out to be a loose connector.
